CCYL "What's Next?" Morning

Description

This "What's Next?" Morning will cover colleges, Mississippi opportunities, completing the FAFSA and other pertinent scholarship application details, and much more. The event will be open to all CCYL students and their close friends and families.

This event will have speakers and representatives from the following organizations and colleges there to present all of the opportunities available to you and your families as you consider further education after high school:

• Get2College (provides step-by-step instruction on filling in the FAFSA and other forms required for college applications) 
• Hinds Community College
• Mississippi College
• C Spire (great information about technology education and program opportunities for high school students to get ahead)
• Mississippi State University
• The University of Mississippi
• The University of Southern Mississippi

Whether a student is a junior OR senior, I cannot stress enough how great of an opportunity this will be for him or her to meet and directly speak with representatives from these organizations about possible future plans. These type of events are normally completely open to the public, so it is difficult to get one-on-one time with recruiters and get your specific questions answered, but our event will be much smaller and give you the chance to stand out with these individuals.
