Join us for the Spring Quarterly Luncheon on March 24, 2022 at 11:45 am on the Mississippi College campus! This quarter we are welcoming Clinton, MS Economic Development Director, Daniel Lang, to speak on recruitment and the overall structure of economic development in regards to the Chamber of Commerce and how they work together.
Daniel Lang has been in his role since November and brings with him experience from the Mississippi Development Authority in economic development and project management. Previous roles include project manager for the Mississippi Development Authority and along with a focus on foreign direct investment initiatives. Lang holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Mississippi College. Throughout his career at Mississippi Development Authority, Lang has assisted many companies in their site selection needs including Navistar, Auto Parts Manufacturing of Mississippi and Ajinomoto Foods.
Lang is a native of Jackson, Mississippi and graduated from Jackson Prep before attending Mississippi College. While at Mississippi College, Lang was a member of the soccer team and held an active role in Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He met his wife, Meredith, through Fellowship of Christian Athletes as she ran cross country and track for the Choctaws. They were married in Provine Chapel on the university’s campus. Lang and his wife have two children, Luke (2) and Jordan (1).
The buffet style lunch will be provided by Mississippi College and will consist of:
- Mini Muffulettas, Chicken Salad on Croissant, & Pimento Cheese Triangles
- Caesar Salad
- Pasta Salad
- Chips
- Cookies
